Just what are Xanthones and where can I buy Xanthones? Xanthones are a naturally occurring derivative many tropical fruits. The queen of fruits the mangosteen has been shown to have a rather large amount of these phenols throughout the entire fruit. These biologically active Xanthones are contained mostly in the pericarp of the succulent mangosteen fruit. See the pericarp or the rind of the mangosteen is a beautiful deep purple, and contains an astonishing 40 different Xanthones. Much like an orange or a watermelon the rind is not the part of the fruit that we consume. The velvety stark white fruit found inside the dense purple rind is the delicious part that we savor when eating a mangosteen. Why I like to drink XanGo is the proprietary blend mixes the rind and the fruit to deliver a delicious tasting juice that might just contain some of the most powerful phytonutrients on the planet. Look at the word again, phytonutrients, that just sounds cool to me. These phytonutrients have been known to be some of the most potent “anti-s” around. And when we say anti we mean the awesome power of anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory. Some have even have gone so far as to call them Super-Antioxidants” Kind of like Superman. He was pretty cool and I bet Clark Kent would drink XanGo. Only Superman wouldn’t need it for the health benefits, because he gets his power from Earth’s Yellow Sun, he would just drink it because it tastes good, like we do.
Xanthones have been in clinical studies for a long time. Some things that Xanthones might have been “proven” to do is promote healthy joint health and flexibility. Xanthones have also been shown to help lessen and relieve pain, and at times increase energy. Now these are attributed to lots of studies, but modern science, who needs them? We think the coolest part is the awesome healing power attributed to them by those that live where the fruit actually grows. It is well documented how these native peoples of the Malay Archipelago in the region of Southeast Asia viewed these as dark purple treasures. Ancient Chinese secret huh? Well apparently it is.
